The Potential Death of Rocklin's Open Space
Bye bye Sunset Whitney?!
|
Rocklin residents will be shocked to learn the city is STRONGLY considering infringing on city open space. The loss of oak woodland in the Stanford Ranch area and, more alarmingly, the loss of Sunset Whitney Golf Course if a proposed housing and resort center is launched!!! Don't let the INCUMBENT city council members take away more open space. Enough is enough.

What does this beautiful picture have to do with the caption?
Sunset....the sunset of a beautiful city changed forever by poor planning and over growth. Time for a new city council. Time for new vision. Time for an honest appraisal of the over development of Rocklin.
Isn't that a Microsoft sample photo with XP? At least take a picture of the area. If it's not good enough to photograph, maybe it's not good enough to save.
I'm so sorry for your cynicism. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day for you and yours. The symbolism of overgrowth, especially during shaky economic times, is timeless - regardless of where a photo originates. Rocklin needs a change. Out with the INCUMBENTS and in with new vision. Angela Torrens has that vision!!
