A crushing loss for Woodcreek. It would have been easier if they had gotten blown out, but to have had the game within your grasp, only one rebound away from the NorCal championship is devastating. It's hard to even congratulate them for a great season, which it was, when they lost the way they did. However, this wasn't their best offensive game. They seemed tight and couldn't make their open shots. Their defense was good which kept them in the game, and they got some stops that brought them from behind in the fourth. But as coaches will always tell you, it's the little things that win championships, in this case a simple rebound off a missed shot.

Friendly1, are you kidding me? Did you fall and hit your head? If you win an SFL League Championship followed by a D2 Section Championship you have not had a great season, YOU HAVE HAD A PHENOMENAL SEASON!!!!!!

Yes, that true, but if they would have played a little smarter they would be playing for the state title. Their nerves got the better of them in the last couple of minutes in the game. It wasn't just the missed last rebound but all the other "little things" - missed free throws, couldn't hang on to the ball.etc. In fact, that last possession was supposed to be theirs but the ball was knocked out of Kurtz's hands and they gave it to St. Francis. Why would they in-bound to him anyway - he had hands of stone in that game.

This is interesting found this read it.
