Children's clothing swap slated
Peace Love Swap, an opportunity to share children’s clothing, will be held Saturday, March 27 at Sierra Vista Center, 55 School St. Gently used baby, children’s and maternity items can be dropped off between 10 and 11 a.m., reported organizer Meg Franz. “Drop off the stuff you don’t want, get a ticket, which automatically enters you in our raffle and sign in,” Franz said. Return between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., show the ticket and come in and select any items desired, Franz explained. Cost to participate is $5 plus items to swap. Anyone unable to pay the $5 admission can volunteer to help at the event. To volunteer, send an e-mail to megfranz@peaceloveswap.com. Left over clothing items will be donated to local charities, she continued. Franz, a Grass Valley resident, holds Peace Love Swaps every other month in Nevada County and Rocklin. If she is able to find someone willing to take charge, Franz hopes to hold regular swaps in Colfax, El Dorado Hills and Sacramento.
