The recent weather outside may not indicate it, but the spring sports season at Colfax High is ready to get up and running.

And in probably the biggest news on the Falcons’ spring sports scene, the local school will unveil its new all-weather track next Wednesday when the Falcons host Woodland in a non-league dual meet.

The meet will mark the first time since 2007 that Colfax has hosted a track meet on its own campus.

The meet will begin at 2:30 p.m. with visiting Woodland being coached by Colfax High graduate Chuck Bruins.

All total, Colfax High’s track team will host five dual meets this season.

In addition, Colfax High will host its own invitational meet on April 24.
